Okay I know we all have those moments where we need to step back from the computer and have a little giggle. Well these are the places I like to visit for a laugh or just to get my mind off accounting.
People of Walmart....Oh yes how about a complete pick me up when I'm feeling well not so good about myself
FML...Keeps me entertained for hours and I have a moment like this every week I swear although probably not as entertaining
You Drive What...I drive a prius and now I know why I dont drive any of these
Geekologie....I'm not a geek but it still makes me laugh
Well hope I provided some laughs...

Lights
I want to make a lamp or a light fixture for my new place why you ask? because its cheaper than me buying one! First I found this one. I fell in LOVE like so in Love i just wanted to go for it. Then I took a deep breath as the accountant I am an costed the thing out...$104 in just the first set of parts I gave up. If im gonna pay that much im going to buy the damn thing assembled! So now im stuck searching the internet finding directions and trying to come up with something modern.
So I have found a few and Rachel at One Pretty Thing helped me out as well.
This Bubble One is right up my alley...

Hacking an expensive one for something from Ikea im always down for a bargain!
Turn a table lamp into a hanging lamp..must find JC Penny outlet.
Lucite never heard of it but looks kinda cool
I can totally do string and a balloon or ball I did something like this in grade school

Tall Tails
So I know many of us out there get to work check our favorite blogs or websites. I on the other hand wait till I need a pick me up. When work is just getting to me and I need a break I head here.
It makes me chuckle to myself and on more than one occasion I laugh out loud and my boss looks at me like I'm crazy but you know what who cares!
Lately People of Walmart has been featuring people wearing Tails now if anyone out there can explain this phenomena please let me know because what is up with this? or this and finally my favorite . I mean these people have to be crafty to make these and then attach them to their pants right? But why wear them out in public. Im stumped Please HELP.

I logged in a few days ago to notice I was slowly reaching 200 posts. And today is the lucky day! Whoo hoo I made it. Now just 800 more to go to 1,000. Yeah its a long term goal but a good one. I guess this calls for a give away? So this time around be ready to recieve a mystery prize...OOOH AAAHHH so all you need to do is leave a comment by January 31 on this post and you are entered to win!
And in Other news...
This weekend was busy moving to the new place. I bought a new couch from Costco that was extremely eventful. I think owning a couch is one giant step forward in becoming an adult. That and owning a vacuum (something I still don't own and thank god the new place is hardwood). Its fun moving again and setting everything up but a lot of work. Next is decorating which will be another fun adventure of drilling holes and putting nails in the walls. Yes Manly work!
Also for this year I've decided that I'm going to post each week my favorite crafts I find online. But if you have one send me a link you might just get a special feature! This is my GOAL for the year so help me out.

Craigslist Update
Well This time around I've had a little more success with Craigslist. People showing up on time for one which is great. Its a blessing but a curse. Blessing to get rid of things and get some extra cash. Curse to deal with people who don't respect time. Well the adventure is still going hopefully get rid of more stuff soon.

Moving Moving Moving
Yes, I'm Moving again and this time I'm going to be all by myself in a cute little one bedroom. The hardest part right now is deciding if i want to unpack everything until I hear from all the grad schools I applied to!
Thank You
I recieved a great email over the Holiday about my blog. Evelyn C. you made my holiday! Here is part of he email to me:
"I just wanted to say that your tutorials are the very best I've ever seen. I love the written info on the pictures giving details about what you are actually sewing with arrows, etc. If I were making tutorials, that's exactly how I would do it. Your blog title is fabulous. I was very close to my home ec teacher, Mrs. Evelyn M. in high school. Yes, we did share the same first name, but that's not why I loved her so. She really took me under her wing and fostered my love of home ec stuff. Although she was my cooking teacher, she could also sew. We continued our relationship until she died several years ago. In fact, when I would return to Delaware for visits, I always made a point to bring my family to see her. She did not get a chance to meet my youngest son, who is now 21, but she doted on my eldest, now 25 and would bring toys from the attic that her kids played with. There was always a fabulous spread, including fresh veggies from her garden. It was actually the highlight of my visit. She is the one I always aspired to emulate."
Evelyn thanks again I think I might have a new tutorial soon after moving...again

New Favorite Blog
So as you may or may no know I have an interview next week for Grad School. I also have to give a 5 minute presentation on ANYTHING! Daunting, Yes, Scary, YES, am I going out of my mind trying to find something to talk about YES!!! Thats until I found THIS blog. I have absolutely fallen in love with it!
CraftyPod is a blog that post a whole slue of information, resources, and projects. I especially LOVE the podcast which give FREE advice to us small business Entrepreneurs. This got me thinking about my presentation and especially her last podcast about Engagement Marketing. I had been thinking of this lately and how useful a blog is to "connect" with people. I now have a topic to talk about and how useful it is as a free marketing tool to my business and how it works.
Thank god for the crafting community.

Over the past 2 weeks I have finished a baby blanket, and adult blanket, 2 crochet hats and I'm in the middle of finishing 2 pairs of pjs (yup for myself!). I feel like I may be pushing my luck being this crafty in such a short period of time after my dry spell.
P.S. I got an interview with UCD's MBA program January 15th!!!!

Christmas Miracle
I thought I would give a little Christmas Miracle by actually posting today. I know long time no see right? I've been really busy with a lot going on. Home for thanksgiving for 5 days was fun until I got the sinus infection. Apply to more grad school programs (1 to go and I'm done!!!). And started training for a half marathon. I think I may have over committed myself? Other than that there was a miracle this week I got 3 projects done and hoping to get three more done by the end of the week. This year actually making people gifts got thrown out the window with all the grad school stuff. So here are the projects that are in the mail to my mother today for some of her friends.
